Plant Disease Management Reports on Stop the Rot trials

Stop the Rot researchers recently published several new Plant Disease Management Reports on the results of field trials in the first season of work. Reports are now available from three participating states (GA, WA, NY).

Researchers conducted trials to evaluate and compare different options currently used by growers to manage bacterial rots, including:

  • Irrigation and nitrogen management practices;
  • Bactericides applied in the field;
  • Cultural practices including different methods for and timing of harvesting, topping, and rolling;
  • Post-harvest disinfectants for managing bacterial rots in storage.

More reports will be added to this list as they are published.
